The GF211D dual current clamps adopt high-permeability magnetic cores to achieve ultra-fine 0.1mA resolution for leakage current inspection. Standard operating steps include preheating the host for 3–5 minutes before clamping to stabilize internal circuit temperature, then clearing residual magnetism by fully opening and closing empty jaws to guarantee zero baseline accuracy. The two clamps cannot be cross-used with other phase meters, as each pair undergoes factory matching calibration to maintain consistent phase measuring precision.
Long-term service precautions cover storage and daily inspection. Do not place clamps under high temperature, condensation or corrosive gas environments for extended periods. If jaw surfaces are stained with conductive particles, avoid abrasive cloth or chemical solvents for cleaning; only soft lint cloth is allowed. When finishing all tests, remove clamps from live wires first before unplugging the clamp cables from the meter, to avoid secondary open-circuit risks of CT loops. The complete set of clamps, voltage leads and main unit is packed in a shockproof storage bag to protect all accessories during frequent on-site transfers between power plants and mining workshops.
